Always Abounding
The world is filled with messages and activities that are meaningless and without direction. For a believer, the Easter message is not simply a message to believe but also a message that transforms. In the Easter sermon series Always Abounding, Pastor Philip De Courcy reminds believers that they can remain steadfast and irrepressible in their daily lives because the purpose of their work in the Lord is anchored in the resurrection of Christ.
In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul confessed, confirmed, defended, and celebrated Christ’s resurrection. In Always Abounding, Pastor Philip asserts that the resurrection makes a Christian wide awake to life because they have been born again to a living hope. Through Christ’s resurrection, He now indwells every believer—“Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27)—and life is forever brimming over with hope, joy, peace, meaning, and purpose. If Jesus has risen, then we must be steadfast, irrepressible, working for the purpose of the kingdom, knowing that it is an everlasting kingdom and that anything we do for the Lord is not in vain (1 Cor. 15:58). The implications of the Easter message lead a believer not only to believe but to live established, enthused, and expectant every day of their lives.
